PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Sodium stannate (sodium stannate) is an inorganic substance with the molecular formula Na2[Sn(OH)6] and molecular weight 266.73.
It is colorless hexagonal plate crystal or white powder. It is used as mordant, fireproofing agent and weight increasing agent for textiles, as well as in the manufacture of ceramics, glass and tin plating.
Sodium stannate (sodium stannate) is colorless hexagonal plate-like crystal or white powder. Soluble in water, aqueous solution is alkaline, relative density of aqueous solution 1.438. insoluble in alcohol and acetone. When heated to 140℃, it loses water of crystallization and becomes anhydrous. Absorbs carbon dioxide in the air to form sodium carbonate and tin hydroxide.
It reacts with carbon dioxide to form sodium carbonate and decomposes by dehydration at 140℃.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
Mainly used in electroplating industry for alkaline tin plating and copper plating, as well as tin alloys, zinc-tin alloys, aluminum alloys and other alloys of electroplating and chemical plating. Used as fireproofing agent and weight increasing agent in textile industry. It is used as mordant in printing and dyeing industry. Also used in glass, ceramics and other industries.
