PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Potassium chloride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula KCl, looks like table salt, odorless and salty. It is commonly used as an additive for low-sodium salt and mineral water. Potassium Chloride is a commonly used clinical electrolyte balance regulator, with precise clinical efficacy, widely used in various clinical departments.

Appearance and properties: white crystal, very salty taste, odorless and non-toxic. Easily soluble in water, ether, glycerol and alkali, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, hygroscopic, easy to agglomerate; solubility in water increases rapidly with the rise of temperature, and sodium salts are often complex decomposition and generate new potassium salts.

MAIN APPLICATION

Mainly used in inorganic industry, it is the basic raw material for the manufacture of various potassium salts or alkali such as potassium hydroxide, potassium sulfate, potassium nitrate, potassium chlorate, potassium alum, etc.. It is used as diuretics and drugs to prevent and control potassium deficiency in the pharmaceutical industry. In the dye industry, it is used in the production of G salt and reactive dyes. In agriculture, it is a kind of potassium fertilizer. Its fertilizer effect is fast, directly applied to the farmland, can make the lower soil moisture rise, there is a drought effect. However, it is not suitable for application in saline land and to crops such as tobacco, sweet potato and sugar beet. Potassium chloride is similar in taste to sodium chloride (bitter) and is also used as a low-sodium salt or mineral water additive. It is also used as a deflagrant in the manufacture of muzzles of guns or cannons, as a heat-treating agent for steel, and for photographic purposes. It is also used in medicine, scientific applications, food processing, and sodium chloride can be partially replaced with potassium chloride inside table salt to reduce the possibility of high blood pressure.

CLINICAL MEDICINE

Potassium Chloride is a commonly used electrolyte balance regulator with proven clinical efficacy and is widely used in a variety of clinical disciplines. It is used for the treatment and prevention of hypokalemia caused by various reasons (insufficient food intake, vomiting, severe diarrhea, application of potassium-excreting diuretics or long-term application of glucocorticostimulants and adrenocorticostimulants, potassium-losing nephropathy, Bartter syndrome, etc.), and it can also be used for cardiac and renal edema, as well as for the frequent and multifarious premature beats or tachyarrhythmia caused by cardiac glycosides poisoning, such as digitalis.
