PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Scandium chloride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula ScCl3, which is an off-white solid at room temperature and pressure. It is soluble in water and insoluble in anhydrous ethanol. Hexahydrate is obtained when crystallized from aqueous solution (partially dehydrogenated when heated to produce insoluble scandium oxychloride).

APPLICATIONS

Scandium chloride (ScCl3) is an important material with a wide range of applications in the fields of optical materials, catalysts, materials science research, nuclear fuels and biomedical materials. It has a monomer structure with orthorhombic crystal system, is white crystal, and is difficult to dissolve in water. Scandium chloride can modulate optical properties in optical materials and is used to prepare optical devices and optical materials. It also has applications in catalysts, materials science research and nuclear fuel. In addition, scandium chloride is used in the preparation and research of biomedical materials. When reacted with water, it produces hydrogen chloride and scandium hydroxide.
